The Scott Aerator Floating De-Icer is engineered to keep large water surface areas open during the winter. Suspended from a float approximately 2 feet below the water's surface, it removes and prevents ice by bringing warmer water from the bottom and sending it out in a continuous agitated movement. This de-icer easily adjusts for variations in water levels and is suitable for both fresh and salt water.

The de-icer for lakes and ponds comes equipped with a 1 HP 115V Motor (1094 Watts, 11.5 Ampere, 3450 RPM) and a 10-gauge, submersible, 35-ft. power cord with a rugged Hubbell marine-style plug. It can easily move up to 500 gallons of water in a single minute, with a flow distance coverage of up to 70 feet. This means that even in extreme, below-zero winter conditions, this de-icer will keep a minimum 70 ft. diameter area ice-free surrounding your boat or dock.

The products are engineered in the USA to withstand harsh winter conditions. The pump is specifically designed for the sub-zero North American winter and is capable of clearing wide areas around your dock in freezing temperatures.
